The Barnes Bun Architecture Biennale
Saturday 8th October 2005
A one-day event incorporating a series of performances and activities at 7 different pavilions in and around Barnes, London, SW13. Pavilions were designed and created by invited architects, artists and designers.
During September 2005, a series of performances (in the run up to the event) were performed by Paul Carr and Patrick Loan on Barnes Green, to publicise the Barnes Bun Architecture Biennale.
Devised, organised and co-ordinated by Paul Carr, Patrick Loan, Bruce McLean and Jim Moyes.
Paul and Patrick designed the Central Pavilion, 43b Barnes Green; a fictitious address inspired by prose written by Paul which included 43 architectural buns, hence 43b.
The day would not have been complete without K Beast (Katharine Eastman) for Strap-on-bun technology, Steven Lowery representing the BBC (Barnes Bun Correspondent) and the Barnes Bun Architecture Biennale Bun Consultant Sarah Till BBABs (No ordinary qualification).

43b
Paul Carr and Patrick Loan outside 43b on Barnes Green, London, SW13.
43b was the Central Pavilion for the Barnes Bun Architecture Biennale.
We rang Bruce McLean up on the day we erected 43b and he called round to see us. A regular highlight of the Bun Biennale was meeting with Bruce, and more often than not the sun was always out in Barnes, with exception to the day we performed Bun Rabbit Bun. Like we said, "We'll get by, without our rabbit pie", or words to that effect.
Eddie Farrell turned up to see us too, and an impression of me and Eddie can be seen talking by 43b in the photograph taken by Patrick from afar and that was eventually used for pages 6-7 of the screen printed book Bun Potential.
