Pictured top is David Bowie on the Queen Elizabeth liner, January 1974 and (below) Shaun Ryder on Scarborough Beach, Perth, Australia, 10 March 2001
These are two of 50+ pages from music magazines I'd accumulated over the years and screen-printed with this green motif with Eddie Farrell and Michael Wedgwood for the Shytstem.

Bun Potential

Bruce McLean foreword for the screen printed book Bun Potential:
"The Barnes Bun Architecture Biennale came about through a conversation
sometime in the Spring of 2005 with two former Slade School of Fine Art
students, The Ketchup Boys, Paul Carr and Patrick Loan, about placing work
in the world.
In 1978 I had a conversation with Braco Dimitrijevic about the Barnes Biennale,
the first international exhibition of modern art in Britain to take place in houses
in the Barnes area. The International Pavilion would have been in Riverside
Studios, Hammersmith, and the main show would have taken place in a series
of houses/pavilions around Barnes. For example: a Swiss family living in Barnes
would host a Swiss artist and a British household would host a British
representative, etc.
This idea was taken up by a Belgian curator sometime in the late
1980s; the title of the exhibition was ‘Chambre de Lit’.
The basic idea for the show never went away and knowing a few people in the
Barnes area I suggested [to the Ketchup Boys] that we make the Bun
Architecture Biennale in Barnes, SW13. The fact that Kurt Schwitters lived in
Westmoreland Road in Barnes and then moved to Westmoreland, Cumbria,
seemed appropriate."
